2021.09.28 03:47 anonymouseuronymous Muscular tension
Hi. I get extreme muscle tension in my legs mostly and sometimes in my arms, this has been going on for years and it gets so bad that I can't sleep and my legs will become incredibly sore for days. I may also have a seizure disorder, I convulse a lot. I was once on Gabapentin, and it seemed to stop it for the most part. I can't take that pill anymore. I'm not looking for how to fix it, I'm just wondering what the problem is.

2021.09.28 03:47 SuperAssumption Releasing a game and its soundtrack at the same time in Steam (plus a deluxe edition with both) - is it helpful for sales?
I've just noticed that you can release the soundtrack of your game (presuming you actually have an original soundtrack worth doing it) "for free" on Steam, I mean, included in the Steam Direct Fee that you've paid for the base game. I actually though that, if you wanted to release a soundtrack, you had to pay an extra fee, because I mainly see games from big studios being released with a separated soundtrack for sale.
Now, for those who already published both with or without the soundtrack, what do you think about it? I mean, it's an "extra" visibility for your game (since it's another page being released at the same time), and it sure looks more profissional. I'm not here saying that this can "boost" the sales of a bad game, but just thinking out loud about how it could help the release moment.

Really starting to get annoying when I crash in the middle of EX trials or raids and it's happening multiple times a day sometimes. I have tried everything I have seen on YouTube and Google and nothing has completely stopped it from happening.

2021.09.28 03:47 yourmaindealer Need Opinions
So I have had hppd for 4 years now and it was rough at first but eventually got better and I was able to ignore it for a while. Things that would trigger panic attacks for me would be smoking weed, drinking alcohol, and physical activity like working out. I haven’t worked out in 4 years and I’m not fat or anything but I tried working out today and it sent me into a panic attack. I would never kill myself but hppd really makes me think how you only get one body and I ruined it by being a dumb teen. The only way to stop hppd is to die I feel like and it sucks thinking about it. Anybody else have any similar experiences?
For the record, as much as I think that dying is the only way to end it, I do not plan on ever killing myself, just wanna make that clear.

Hearing a lot of negative things about the quality of food/getting sick often from food. First year here, should I be concerned? I’m paranoid enough when it comes to food, what are y’all’s experiences when it comes to the dining halls?

2021.09.28 03:47 ManweTheElderKing Midnight Mass: the best Salem's Lot adaptation ever
spoilers ahead for Midnight Mass and Salem's Lot by Stephen King
I just finished Midnight Mass and I need to vomit my thoughts onto something. This will be part review and part ramble, so if you read the whole thing, thanks.
Right away, the most obvious thing for me is what i hinted at in the title. For those not in the know, Salem's Lot is the second (and imo one of his greatest) novel of Stephen King, one of the most prolific and famous authors of American History. In the novel, the protagonist Ben Mears returns home to his childhood town of Jerusalem's Lot - a small, isolated rural community where everyone knows each other- for a fresh start, only to find that an ancient vampire has taken up residence in town and is slowly turning everyone into a vampire.
Given how avid and vocal a fan of King Flanagan is (he's directed two adaptations of his works), I would be shocked if King's novel wasn't the main inspiration for Midnight Mass. Hell, the similarities don't even end there. Both novel and show end in generally the same way: the town is burned to the ground, leaving only two survivors. Take Salem's Lot, update the setting 50 years, and ramp up the religious commentary to an 11, and you've got Midnight Mass.
Now, don't get me wrong. None of this is negative criticism. In fact, it's positive. Midnight Mass is a perfect example of how a skilled writer can take a familiar premise and turn it into something truly their own, just by asking "how would I do this?" You don't need to be original if you're good, and man is Mike Flanagan good.
Enough of that though. Turning to the show itself, I really have nothing negative to say. Everything was just perfect. The acting, the pacing, the storytelling, the reflections on religion and death...I don't know if it's better than Hill House. I certainly like the ending better than Hill House's, but it's hard to beat that show.
I'm a little disappointed about the steady decline in episode count since HH, but I also view it as a sign that Flanagan is getting more economical in his storytelling. He knows how to trim the fat and deliver a fulfilling story with almost nothing that's not needed.
I've seen some people on this subreddit in the past few days talking about the show and I feel like some are getting the wrong idea about it's main message. The point of the show isn't to say: "See? See how dangerous religion is? See how crazy all those religious people are?" You're not supposed to come away from this thinking that religion is evil. Remember the AA meetings with Pruitt and Riley? They talk about Alcohol and how it's neither good nor bad in of itself - it's the people that make it what it is? That's what Mike is saying about religion. It's not the religion, it's how you use it. Its about how ANYTHING can be twisted by extremism, fanaticism, or desperation. There's people like Erin or Riley's parents, whose religion is good natured and pure. There's people like John Pruitt, whose religion is good-intentioned, but is susceptible to misguidedness and evil ways due to their weakness and emotion. There's people like Bev Keane, whose religion is merely a vehicle for their own ego and self-righteousness.
I for one, love the monologues. Were there a lot of them? Yes. Was Riley and Erin's back to back monologuing about death really necessary? Probably not, no. But idk, I just have a soft spot for them. They're always such great explorations of the characters' motivations and personalities that I can't dislike them. Especially Erin's final one about returning to the cosmos. When she started speaking and I realized where it was going, my jaw dropped and I lost it. Everything she said was exactly how I've felt about death for years and years. They way Flanagan, in a single monologue, managed to encapsulate the entirety of spiritual cosmology, at times almost directly quoting the likes of Caral Sagan, the way I felt like he understood me despite not knowing I exist...I lost it. I felt such a torrent of emotion. I've never cried so hard at a TV show. I've never been religious, but in that moment I could almost sing Nearer My God to Thee.
In conclusion, Flanagan's work is poetic and beautiful, and I am broken

2021.09.28 03:47 MysticoN Why not sneak release it?
So here I am. Can't sleep and is counting hours and thinking. We all know that the release it the most hard time for a mmo server. So why don't they sneak release it a few hours earlier to lighten the load on the server?
Sure I guess alot are saying that I'm thinking this only because I'm waiting for the game. And I see that one but that can't be the reason they don't do it?
We all also know that a release is imprortent for the company, maby the most important time of a new game.
So what could be the reason that no/few companies don't sneak release the game a few hours earlier?
Bad press? Unfair advantage on those who get inn? Game not finished?
If all companies did this the effect would vary, I don't think a few hours would give a unfair advantage. He'll some games even have pre release a few days ahead.
What do you think it's the reason for almost every mmo in the block stick to the clock or is delayed by some time for then have huge server issues and zones full of players waiting for spawns?
Just a thought for a discussion wile I'm trying to sleep.

2021.09.28 03:47 GQManOfTheYear Do you write scripts for your videos? If you don't, what do you do? If you do, do you write word for word or bullet points?
Drafting a script for each video takes a long time. You have to research the topic and then draft content even before creating a video and editing the video. I'm wondering how people prepare their videos.
