I have an oculus quest 2,
I have sonos arc
The goal is to play beatsaber without latency over the sonos arc.
I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092MBHBRJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 BT RX/TX,
if I connect it to the AUX of the quest and connect to any BT device it works. without latency. but sonos doesn't have BT or AUX.
I got quest > AUX > BT TX > BT RX > AUX now I need AUX to HDMI as sosno has an HDMI port.
I spent a few hours and found nothing, it seems my only option is to sped 300~$ on sonos port that gets aux to move it to HDMI. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So B4B is out for a while now, after the Beta and a good Month of the full game in Gamepass its probably fair to adress the core issues that made it a pretty mixed experience for me and my friends.

The Card-system
The main selling point of B4B if you ask me. Getting the first couple of cards felt like a whole lot of options opening up. Testing, experimenting and playing made this a system that really fueled curiosity.
As i got closer and closer to unlocking all of the cards, the fun and experimenting pretty much fell off a cliff and died on impact. I started to realize that the real fun cards like admin reload, shooting while sprinting and so on, were just few and far inbetween. The whole system revealed to be mainly about numbercrunching with only a few exceptions. I started to see a pattern, all the direct first person gameplay always felt handycapped on purpose only to give a reason for the existence of many cards like running out of stamina after a moderate jog of 3 seconds, Accuarcy, Ammo, Speed and so on. The card system revolves too much around filling gaps in gameplay that were just put there in order to offer cards as a solution. On the other extreme, the system showed that numbercrunching has the potential to create problems. Melee was nerfed, Speeddecks became a problem resulting in something that needed some drastic changes, leaving players like something was taken away from them. As TRS announced that even removing attachments will become a card, it became clear to me that this system is uninsired, creating problems and wanting you to use cards to solve them.
What i really hoped for was solid and fun shooter gameplay from the getgo where all my card decisions would be more around actual playstyle and combos rather than filling gaps and crunching numbers. Give me a Crouchslide card that knocks back normal ridden, give me a powerblock card where i can block a Tallboy attack consuming all my stamina, give me a ricochet card that lets my bullet bounce to nearby targets if i hit a head. Stuff like that, direct gameplay altering cards that make fun combinations and not +5% here +20% and -30% there. There is just nothing to look forward to in this system, it rather has the potential to create decks that simply break the game with stacking too much numbers on one side like we have already seen twice. Also the game would be easier to balance in terms of speed and pacing if there was a fixed stamina and movement speed. To me TRS went to deep into RPG territory while totally forgetting that this is a First Person Shooter aswell.

Enemy Design in Gameplay
Lets start with talking about the Boss-types first. Especially the Ogre is a disappointment in terms of gameplay. Its a slow, huge Enemy that hits you if you get close, throws a Meatball at you at range and sticks its Arm throgh doors. What exactly am i playing here ? Its a constant dumping of Ammo into this Wall of an enemy by simple walking away from it or ocassionally shooting a meatball. There is no deep strategy , no tension or excitement about this masive creature that only even works in very tight places in order to be a threat. Look at the Hag and the Snitch in contrast, offering so much more in every aspect. Same goes for the Breaker, it even feels like standing around on purpose just to give you some room to shoot it. Avoid Jumps and direct hits and shoot at it when it just stands still for a reason. I dont see any strategy and fun here other than just prevening a horde with a Flashbang. And this Pattern continues in the Tallboy types and most of the Reeker types. These feel boss like of some sort, Taking a lot of damage and always force you into some sort of an Arena fight. You can see and feel how the Stinger-types differ from that. Sadly those suffer from predetermined patterns on where they can jump to a wall or a lantern, feeling repetetive very fast. I know that everyone is tired of L4D comparsions but where are the crazy hunter midair blocks and shots that always felt so satisfying, there is that sneaky smoker that disrupted the team when shit hit the fan. Where is the sneaky boomer that asked you for quick reflexes or good decision making, where is the tension of a Witch and so on. Im not asking for exact copys , im asking for a realy variety on how an enemy type feels and behaves ~ B4B's special ridden suffer from the same problem like the card system. Pushing you towards stats and numbercrunching rather than a fun first person shooter experience with armor, weakpoints, health pools and stumble-damage. If you want another good example, look at Vermintide 2, offering a mix of fun Enemy designs while also tapping into rpg territory.

Atmosphere and Physics
First off, im asking you to not confuse atmosphere with story when i talk about this. B4B doesnt need an epic story in order to work. The Framework it has works perfectly fine for what this game is. So why does it lack atmosphere, it looks georgeous.
The Dialogue in this game is pretty much bombarding the atmosphere in this game, trying to find some sort of balance between dead serious and b-movie trash. While the rest of the game screams Action Movie. Thats not bad by any means but at almost no point is B4B able to capture a threatening or dangerous atmosphere. Closest we get is the music que for the Hag. This is further underlined by Setpieces like the Showdown at the Bar. Tonally , visually in maps or character designs, with sounds or music, B4B's tense and threatening atmospheric moments are super rare. This screams Action shlock without ever establishing a dangerous world.
Another thing that impacts atmosphere is how you move around in this world and how it is responding to you and your actions. This is also a gameplay thing so allow me to tackle both of these at the same time. For some reason there doesnt seem to be just a placeholder physics system. Most notable if you ever turned off crosshair feedback. The hit feedback on ridden has little to no impact and often you cant even tell if something worked or not without crosshair feedback. Explosions have no punch , nothing really gets blasted away , no Objects or Enemies just slightly in a way that looks and feels predetermined. If you as a player get knocked back by ridden, this usually results in very weird slide behaviour resulting in something that doesnt feel like a knockback rather then Lakitu from Mario Kart putting you somewhere else. Enemies and the world around you is pretty much not responding to any player action resulting in a stale and static feel when playing.

Pacing and Lootcycle
Back 4 Blood seems to constantly throw Enemies and action at you in order to make up for the systems that interrupt the actual in-game gameplay. With 2 Ready up screens after a match + a Loading screen + Card picking + waiting for players + shopping, a 3-6 minute gameplay break between the maps is quite common. This is especially frustrating when you have a map that doesnt offer more than 5 minutes gameplay.
Furthermore you constantly want to check for loot, trying to find time for comparing attachments and weapons is pretty much breaking the pace of the actual gameplay even further. Since the in-game action doesnt offer any sort of real pacing like breathing moments or building up tension, this usually results in gameplay where you only get to loot leftofters if you are not the person running ahead and checking stuff out while the others are fighting and covering your ass or doing an objective. And its the reoccuring theme we already saw , leaning too much into the rpg side of things while constantly taking away from actual gameplay.

Quickplay and the Continue System
Quickplay is pretty much useless at this point. But without that system attracting players, you wont have many people joining in games, filling them with Life. When you decide for Quickplay, its likely that you have to take over a bot. Probably not the character you wanted, with the weapons you didnt want and a deck you didnt want. So you try to end that Round in order to get to your Character and Deck selection but you will keep the weapons of the bot, resulting in Situations where you end up with a Machete and an SMG when you wanted to play your sniper deck. So This round you hope for the best to at least find the type of weapon you built your deck for. Makes 2 Rounds pretty much wasted.
The Continue System doesnt even make sense to me. In 100% of all cases i personally experienced, players just leave the Match after a failed round because its just easier and more comfortable to just restart the campaign from the last checkpoint. In dedicated Groups this is a little different but also frustrating if you get stuck on a Map having to get there a couple of times first in order to try it again, pretty much demoralizing the players.

Bugs and Problems
For all the topics above i had a very good understanding of what i wanted to say and where to put my finger on the map. But here, its hard to even get started ~ the amount of bugs and glitches in this game is very high. So i wont go over everything since bugs are bugs and the TRS Trello shows that they are aware of many of them. They will understandably need time to fix those.
One Thing that is really crazy tho, is the desync in this game. Bullets and hits will disappear. Enemies and Projectiles will Teleport or Rubberband. The biggest problem here is the actual player Hitbox. Try it out for yourself, go into a solo map and allert a bunch of ridden. Let them surround you and you will notice that you have a circular hitbox around you, reaching out aprox 1 meter in every direction. So you run around in a large Hitbox circle what gets affected by aoe, pins and grabs aswell.
I could go over Swarm Mode and how it is just fast food and not a real compelling gamemode worth your time but its not even wort the effort at this point since B4B seems to go into a different direction with a heavy focus on the coop side of things.

Back 4 Blood fails to satisfy that itch on the first person shooter side of things. Is not able to find the right balance in pacing, tone and gameplay while leaning too much into the underlying rpg gameplay idea.

2021.12.08 15:45 chris_vb Anybody else experiencing iOS login issues to Bittrex?

Currently if opening the app I no longer get the Face ID prompt but instead the pass code prompt, after entering pass code seems to work then pops up with ‘Your account is locked’ with a button of ‘Unlock Bittrex Global’ underneath of it which ends in a loop.
If I click logout, then login with email and pass, 2FA code then click the verification email it logs in ok, but this is the only way I can login at the moment.
Note no issues on desktop pc logging in currently.
